Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar are shocked to win at 64th National Film Awards
Sonam Kapoor shares a picture with Akshay Kumar as they celebrate their wins at the 64th National Film Awards.
The 64th National Film Awards' winners list was announced today and Sonam Kapoor was bestowed with a special mention by the jury for her stunning portrayal in the movie Neerja.
The actress took to Instagram to share a picture of herself and Akshay Kumar and their expressions say it all. Both are seen showing shocked faces as Akshay too won the Best Actor National Award for the movie Rustom.

When we contacted Sonam, the actress was elated with the honour and said, "Very grateful for the special jury award for Neerja and the best film award!! So excited for it! Thank you to the jury!"
Even brother Harshavardhan Kapoor could not handle his excitement and told us, "It's an achievement and it stays with you for your life. I think it's truly deserved and we are proud of her. It's a great prestige for our family. For dad and Sonam, it's a happy day. I think we kind of knew that this is a good chance for her to win it. She carried the film on her shoulders and she made us believe that she is Neerja."
Meanwhile, Sonam and Akshay are currently in Maheshwar as they are busy shooting for their upcoming movie PadMan which is being helmed by R. Balki. The movie is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham who is the inventor of low-cost sanitary pads for women in rural areas.
