Taapsee Pannu-Amit Sadh's Runningshaadi.com title changed to Running Shaadi
The title of Taapsee Pannu-Amit Sadh's Runningshaadi.com has been changed to Runningshaadi. The film is produced by Shoojit Sircar.
It has become a norm these days that films are embroiled in controversies just before its release. The recent one to join the bandwagon is Taapsee Pannu-Amit Sadh's Runningshaadi.com. The film will no longer have ‘.com’ in its title and will be called as Running Shaadi.
Reason being, a week before its release, Runningshaadi.com makers have been asked by matrimonial website Shaadi.com, to change the film's name. The website raised an objection with the use of its name in the title. As Runningshaadi.com is a story about a website that helps couples elope and get married, the company felt it will damage its brand name.
Taapsee took to Twitter and confirmed the news with a new poster and edited title name.
Running Shaadi has been directed by Amit Roy and is set to release on February 17.
