Flashback Friday: When Sonam Kapoor revealed the one thing she finds sexy about a man
In an earlier interview, Sonam spoke about her lifelong crush on Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and also her wish to have starred opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om.
Sonam Kapoor is currently living the happiest phase of her life as she will soon be tying the knot with beau Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. The actor has always been private about her personal life and stayed away from dating Bollywood actors. Instead, she fell in love with Delhi-based Anand and the couple compliment each other, perfectly.
In this week's Flashback Friday, we discovered an old interview of Sonam's with Mumbai Mirror from when she had just kickstarted her Bollywood career. Sonam made her Bollywood debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie, Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Another actor who made her Bollywood debut in the same year was Deepika who had a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om. While Saawariya bombed at the box-office, Om Shanti Om was a hit.
When MM asked Sonam if she would have like to star in Om Shanti Om, the actor responded with a yes and spoke about how Shah Rukh along with Salman Khan was her lifelong crush.
Sonam said, "I'd have loved to. Who doesn't want to work with Shah Rukh Khan? Salman and Shah Rukh are my lifelong crush. SRK can make any girl believe he can kill for her. I find that aspect in a man sexy."
Back then, there were rumours that Sonam had declined starring in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan which ultimately launched Anushka Sharma. On this matter, Sonam cleared the air and said, "When was it ever mine for me to miss out on it? Adi wanted to meet, so we met. He never mentioned Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He was very clear that he wanted a new face for it. I’ve already played the simple Indian girl (in Saawariya and Delhi-6) and besides that, even my dates for Delhi-6 clashed with Adi’s project. Since I wasn’t denying or accepting that I have been offered that role, everyone jumped to their own conclusions. I even got congratulatory messages when I was holidaying in New York."
