MONSTA X's rapper I.M confirms solo comeback with his first mini-album; Scheduled to be released on THIS day
MONSTA X's I.M is all set to make a solo comeback. Are you ready?
MONSTA X's very own rapper, I.M is gearing up for a solo debut and fans cannot be any more excited about the same. On February 7, 2021 it was officially announced by Starship Entertainment that I.M would be releasing a solo digital mini-album titled “Duality” on February 19 at 2 PM KST. This is not I.M's first solo release as he has released several mixtapes in the past. However, this is I.M's first official solo mini-album since MONSTA X's debut. The official cover teaser for the mini-album shows a contrast between hot and cold with the colours blue and red.
Taking into account I.M's powerful but chic style of rapping and his especially unique songwriting, this mini-album is sure to be one of the strongest solo releases of the season. Especially considering the huge demand for his solo album, fans are speculating a reflection of his true personality and his motto, "I Am What I Am" in this release. Solo debuts are highly sought after and anticipated among fans of idol group members because they represent the complete artistic faculties of the members that they can't always express through the music that they make as a group. As such, it is always exciting to anticipate solo releases.
