On the work front, the actress recently signed a film with Meghna Gulzar. Deepika will not only play the lead role but she will also produce it. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

The recent report by DNA states that she might work with Ranbir Kapoor again in Luv Ranjan's next. The film also stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles.
