In a recent interview, Kang Daniel reveals his need to be seen as a real artist and the emotional process of creating a new album.
It is only February and Kang Daniel is a busy man already. The idol-entrepreneur has his plate full with his brand commitments, potential acting offers and an impending album. For the uninitiated, the former Wanna One star is set to release an album on February 16. This will be his first, since the release of Magenta (mini-album) in August. He has also received the offer for a lead role in Disney+'s Our Police Course and is positively reviewing the offer.
Close on the heels of the release of his upcoming comeback, Kang Daniel discussed some important details about what fans can expect from it. In an interview with 1st Look via Soompi, the idol revealed how his goals for his upcoming comeback stem from the need to be taken seriously as an artist. He stated, "I want to show myself as a real artist. It’s about the anguish required to become a serious artist."
He further revealed how he has poured his personal thoughts and emotions into his new album. "A lot of my own thoughts and worries have been incorporated into the comeback and there will be a lot of sincere stories. It will be about one part of the person called 'Kang Daniel,'” he added.
If you missed it, the idol recently unveiled the intriguing teaser of his upcoming comeback. The teaser sees the star in blurry visuals, as the slow and sensuous music fills the scarlet red atmosphere. The sexy and horror vibe of the teaser is definitely a perfect Valentine's week release.
