West Indies have won just match in the tournament and is struggling to create an impact. Despite setting up a total of 321 against Bangladesh, the team failed miserably to defend the target. However, West Indies’ assistant coach, Roddy Estwick believes that the team should stick together and come back stronger in the rest of the matches.

Roddy said that the team were 60 runs short in that kind of pitch and that size of field. He also admitted that the team didn’t take the opportunities that came their way and were always behind Bangladesh once they got through to 70/1.

Estwick believes that they need to come back stronger as a team in the tournament. They still have four matches left in the tournament and they can’t point fingers and blame anyone. “We have to stick together. That’s how good teams pull through. Stop looking for excuses and start finding solutions,” he added.

Roddy mentioned that they are not down and out yet and can still fight and come back harder in the tournament.

However, he also appreciated the exceptional cricket played by Bangladesh and said that they played well and are an improving side. He also admitted that Bangladesh has played against them five times in the recent past and have beaten them every time. “We just have to go away and put our heads together and find a solution,” he further added.
