WWE Wrestlemania 35: Here's why Vince McMahon is still keen for a Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin match
There was major backlash for Kurt Angle's farewell match as it was revealed that Baron Corbin would be his contender. However, there are several reasons why Vince McMahon is still keen on this Wrestlemania 35 match.
A few weeks back, it was announced that Kurt Angle would be fighting his farewell match at Wrestlemania 35. While his farewell tour during RAW and Smackdown gives him the levy to choose his opponents like Chad Gable and Samoa Joe, Vince McMahon had decided that Baron Corbin would be Kurt's esteemed final contender at what is considered as the Superbowl of WWE. However, much to Vince's dismay, the WWE Universe and 'marks' showed their disinterest on social media and how they felt Baron did not deserve a chance to be worthy of being in Kurt's last match.
Some even threatened to stop watching WWE, if they continued with the decision. However, Vince McMahon is still hell-bent on having Kurt fight against Baron at Wrestlemania 35. According to Sportskeeda, Vince feels that even negative publicity is good publicity. Given the hatred for Kurt vs Baron, the heat for the same has significantly picked up. Vince may also want Baron to pick up a monumental win against Kurt and gain his status back as a hardcore heel. While many would have loved to see Kurt go toe-to-toe with John Cena, WWE might have much bigger plans for Cena, who is guaranteed a match at Wrestlemania 35.

There is also the notion that Cena vs Angle may disappoint as neither are at their prime age. Kurt and Baron had a long-standing rivalry as Stephanie McMahon used Corbin to do her dirty work against the RAW general manager. Their match at Wrestlemania 35 could be the true conclusion to the rivalry.
