Selena Gomez has dropped a truth bomb! The 'Rare' singer is gracing the April cover of Vogue and in her latest interview with them, Selena opened up about her music career. The actress and singer, who has been working in New York to finish shooting of her new Hulu comedy series, Only Murders in the Building, got candid about making music.

Her latest one was the much-anticipated Spanish-language EP, Revelación, and Selena as always won the hearts of her fans. However, the singer revealed that she is having second thoughts about continuing to write songs and make music in the near future.

Selena told Vogue, "It's hard to keep doing music when people don't necessarily take you seriously. I've had moments where I've been like, 'What's the point? Why do I keep doing this?'"

However, she did add that she wants to give it one last go before taking this major decision. "'Lose You to Love Me' I felt was the best song I've ever released, and for some people it still wasn't enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I'm so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it'll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music," the singer said.

Before foraying into music back in 2009 with her first album Kiss and Tell, Selena was a popular Disney artist. Starring in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012, Selena slowly and steadily made the shift to music.

The singer, however, is keen on pursuing acting  “I haven’t even touched the surface of what I want to do. The parts that I want are the ones I need help with. I can’t wait for the moment when a director can see that I’m capable of doing something that no one’s ever seen."

Well, whatever it is, we're here with our eyes and ears open.
