SAG Awards 2022 Highlights: Will Smith bags Best Actor for King Richard; Squid Game wins big

It's a big win for Jason Sudeikis as the actor took home the honour of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in Ted Lasso. The actor was up against his co-star Brett Goldstein in the same category.

Jessica Chastain was awarded the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role win for her performance in the film, The Eyes of Tammy Faye. The actress essayed the role of famed American televangelist Tammy Faye Baker in the film directed by Michael Showalter.

Michael Keaton took home the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries honour for his performance in the critically acclaimed show Dopesick. This is Keaton's second win for Dopesick in the awards season after previously bagging a Golden Globe Award for the same. The Hulu show is based on the nonfiction book Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America by Beth Macy.

The Mare of Easttown fans can rejoice as actress Kate Winslet has bagged the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. After receiving glowing reviews for her performance in the show, it's no surprise that Winslet is taking home the major win. The actress played the role of a detective from Pennsylvania who is investigating a murder case.

With the likes of Squid Game, The Morning Show, The Handmaid's Tale among in competition, the drama series category seemed to be a tough one. It's HBO's Succession starring Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Nicholas Braun, Sarah Snook and more that eventually took home the honour as it won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series win. 

Helen Mirren is this year’s recipient of the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award. The award honours the work of the finest actors and their contribution to cinema and who better than Mirren represents that. The 76-year-old actress arrived at the coveted ceremony sporting a stunning look in a pink gown.

It's raining awards for Squid Game at SAG Awards 2022. After actor Lee Jung Jae took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series, his co-star Jung Ho Yeon has now bagged the Best Actress award for a performance in a drama series.

Squid Game has bagged one of the biggest honours of the evening as actor Lee Jung Jae took home the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. Lee Jung Jae beat fellow nominees such as Succession's Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong and also The Morning Show's Billy Crudup to bag the major award. 

It's the second major win for Ted Lasso this evening as the AppleTV+ series took home the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Earlier, the series' lead star Jason Sudeikis won the Best Actor win in the comedy series category. 

Jean Smart took home the honour of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her performance in Hacks. She was seen competing against the likes of Sandra Oh, Hannah Waddingham, Elle Fanning among others. 

Ariana DeBose left everyone impressed with her performance in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story and now the actress has bagged her second major win after the Golden Globes honour as she took home the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

It's a big evening for actor Will Smith at SAG Awards 2022 given that the actor will be competing in the Best Actor category alongside the ikes of Javier Bardem, Andrew Garfield, Benedict Cumberbatch and Denzel Washington. The actor arrive in style for the coveted award ceremony along with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Lady Gaga arrived on the red carpet of SAG Awards 2022 and she was here to slay. The singer who has bagged a nomination in the Outstanding Performance by an a Female Actor in a Motion Picture for her performance in House of Gucci looked every bit of beautiful as she walked the red carpet. This is Gaga's second major acting nomination after A Star Is Born.

The actor who was last seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home has bagged a Best Actor nomination at the SAG Awards 2022 for his performance in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tick, Tick... Boom! The actor arrived on the red carpet of SAG Awards 2022 looking absolutely dapper and it looks like fans are already expecting him to bag that big win tonight.
