The singer and actor is now gearing up for the release of his next film titled Ugly dolls. The animated film will see Nick Jonas playing the character of Mr. Perfectionist in Ugly Dolls. He will be voicing Lou, a villain, in the soon-to-be released animated flick.
Ugly Dolls is an upcoming musical comedy film. It is based on the plush toys of the same name. The film revolves around how a group of Ugly Dolls travel to the other side of the mountain where they discover Perfection, a place where everyone is perfect. There they encounter Lou (Nick Jonas), who gathers recruits to train for perfection and ultimately to find a child in the real world. Eventually, the Ugly Dolls learn that being oneself is more important than perfection.
Apart from Jonas, the film features the voices of Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monáe, Pitbull, Blake Shelton, Wanda Sykes, Gabriel Iglesias, Wang Leehom, Emma Roberts, Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, and Lizzo. The film will also feature original music from Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton, and Janelle Monae. Ugly Dolls is directed by Kelly Asbury and will hit the theatres on May 3, 2019. Nick Jonas has also been filming Jumanji's sequel alongside Dwayne Johnson and the movie will most likely release next year.
