Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special is currently underway as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not shying away from spilling the tea on the royal family. Over the years, there have been many a story about the "troubled" equation between sister-in-laws Meghan and Kate Middleton with a prior report alleging how Markle made Kate cry before her royal wedding with Harry due to the bride's choice when it came to flower girl dresses.

For the unversed, Prince William and Kate's daughter Princess Charlotte, 5, was amongst Meghan's flower girls. Meghan stated during her interview with Oprah that the "narrative with Kate" which "didn't really happen" was difficult for her. When Winfrey point-blank asked Markle if she made Kate cry, Meghan firmly said no. Shedding light on the controversial report, Markle clarified, "The reverse happened. I don’t say that to be disparaging to anyone. It was a hard week of the wedding. She was upset about something. She owned it. She apologised. She brought me flowers and a note apologising."

Meghan noted how she found it shocking that months after her royal wedding, the reverse story would be put out to the world of how it was Markle who made Kate cry. The Duchess added how she would have never wanted such a story to come out about Kate. Meghan further elaborated how the incident took place a few days before the royal wedding with Kate being upset about the flower girl dresses which made Markle cry and it hurt her feelings. For Meghan, it didn't make sense to not just be supportive like what everyone else was doing in regards to Markle's stress over her wedding as well as her troubled relationship with her father Thomas Markle, who didn't come for his daughter's nuptials.

"She apologised and I’ve forgiven her. What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do, but that happened to me," Meghan confessed and concluded, "She’s a good person. I think so much of what I’ve seen play out is this idea of polarity. If you love her, you don’t need to hate me."
