The film titled The Suicide Squad comes after the original film called Suicide Squad is also a part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). As per the latest reports on The Suicide Squad, the film is now in the production stage. The In Your Veins actor Joel Kinnaman essays Rick Flag in the original film called the Suicide Squad. This film saw Once Upon a Time In Hollywood actress Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The film called The Suicide Squad is in a way a sequel to the original film.
Now, the fans and film audience are eagerly looking forward to the film, The Suicide Squad which is slated for a 2021 release. During an interview with Variety's podcast called The Big Ticket, the Easy Money: Hard to Kill actor Joel Kinnaman said that James Gunn's film The Suicide Squad feels like a comedy. The Johan Falk: Kodnamn: Lisa actor Joel Kinnaman also stated that he enjoyed his time while shooting with The Suicide Squad director James Gunn.
