Hobbs & Shaw: The Rock & Jason Statham's film to have a sequel? Producer spills the beans
The Rock and Jason Statham starrer Hobbs & Shaw was a box-office hit and almost guaranteed a sequel in the future. In a recent interview, Hobbs & Shaw producer Hiram Garcia speaks about the possibility of a sequel to the film, which is a spin-off of the Fast & Furious franchise.
One of the most awaited films of 2019 was Hobbs & Shaw starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jason Statham as the frene-matic bromance of the year! Their camaraderie worked wonders while their joint muscle raised all havoc at the global box-office as the David Leitch directorial earned an impressive $758 million. Hobbs & Shaw is currently the eighth highest-grossing movie of 2019 and given its entertainment quotient, we're really not surprised. The Fast & Furious spin-off demands a sequel and fans are wondering if there could be one in the works.
The question was posed to Hobbs & Shaw producer Hiram Garcia who gave fans hope with some amazing news. While speaking to Comic Book, Hiram shared, "We are having conversations, we were so happy with how it did. The studio was extremely happy and there’s been a lot of great conversations just about seeing where things layout. Obviously [Fast & Furious 9] is on its way. That’s going to do great things. Taking some bits from that, 'cause it’s all a shared universe and it’s all in the works."
