Golden Globes 2020 takes place today, January 5, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The 77th Golden Globe Awards winners list will be announced at the end of the night.
And that's a wrap on 2020's first awards show. The Golden Globe Awards 2020 took place on January 5. The 77th Golden Globe Awards show kicks off the awards season this year. The prestigious awards show was organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The HFPA announced the Golden Globes 2020 nominations about a month ago. From Marriage Story and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood to Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, several outstanding movies, shows and performances have been nominated at the Golden Globes 2020.
The biggest of stars took home the golden trophy. The biggest winner of the night was 1917, which won the Best Motion Picture. Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy was awarded to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Best Actor was presented to Joker star Joaquin Phoenix whereas Renée Zellweger took home Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Judy. Parasite won Best Motion Picture - Foreign Language. On the television front, Chernobyl won Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television whereas Fleabag won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Brad Pitt won his third Golden Globe Award whereas Awkwafina won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
