Emmys 2019: Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner laughed off after they called their show 'real'
The Keeping Up With The Kardashian stars were laughed at by the audience when they claimed their show was 'real' and 'unscripted' while presenting an award at the Emmys.
The Emmys 2019 this year went the Oscars way and had a host-less Emmy night. The award show was full of emotions, drama and surprises. But it was an awkward moment on stage that left many viewers and many netizens saying 'Ouch'. Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner took to the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to present the Competition Programme award at Sunday's ceremony. However, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian stars were laughed at by the audience when they claimed their show was 'real' and 'unscripted'.
Kim and Kendall, who were presenting the award for the best reality show, looked stunning in their respective gowns but the audience did not spare them as an audible laugh was heard when Kim said, "Our family knows first hand how truly compelling television comes from real people, just being themselves."
Even before Kendall could begin to say her bit, she was interrupted by an audible laugh. The model, however, continued saying, "Telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted." A Twitter user wrote, "Eeeek. There was a very loud laugh from the audience when Kim Kardashian was presenting. Laughing at her; not with her. It was uncomfortable (and, in my opinion, uncalled for) in the room. #Emmys."
Another one chimed in and tweeted, "The crowd's reaction to Kim Kardashian saying reality shows were just "real people living their lives unscripted" could not have been more perfect. #unscriptedlaughter #emmys."
