Drew McIntyre REACTS to Undertaker calling current WWE product soft: There's no roster like ours in the world

"I just think the product is a little soft. There's obviously guys here and there that have an edge to them, but there's too much pretty and not enough substance I think right now," WWE legend The Undertaker had confessed during a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Not taking his comment too lightly is WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a candid interview with Sportskeeda.

McIntyre stated that he doesn't agree with Taker's statement, whatsoever, especially from an in-ring perspective. Reasoning how the retired wrestler may have been talking about the storylines and characters, Drew added how the co-host on the podcast was an Attitude Era fan and that they were perhaps referring to the outlandish storylines of those times. While the attitude era was an 18+ environment, the current WWE is PG and hence, there is only so far they can push and they're willing to push it.

According to the 35-year-old wrestler, while the Attitude Era had certain things which were awesome, it also consisted of things that weren't awesome which he wouldn't want to go back to. Hence, McIntyre isn't sure if the talk was more from the storyline perspective about it not being adult-based as it used to be. Albeit, Drew still feels that they are walking a good line right now. If the talk was about the in-ring game, the WWE Champion says it's not true at all as it's "never been more physical."

"The in-ring talent right now, we've got the best in-ring talent roster of all time. If you look at our talents from top to bottom, what they can do in the ring, what they can pull off from a storytelling perspective in the ring, in a physical perspective especially, there's nobody better. You look at back at the attitude era, you compare the matches, turn the volume off and watch the match quality and compare it to now, there's no comparison. And then the ruthless aggression era is when things really stepped up in-ring wise.," McIntyre dissected with Sportskeeda.

Speaking of the current WWE roster, McIntyre defended them all by stating that there's no roster like theirs in the world right now. Drew affirmed that the current WWE roster is "physical", "hard-hitting" and they have athletes who can do things which are just "absolutely mindblowing."

"So it certainly wasn't the in-ring part he was talking about," McIntyre concluded.
