Britney Spears signs up for ‘me time’ at a wellness facility amid her dad Jamie’s recovery from Colon Rupture
As per reports, Britney Spears has signed herself for ‘me time’ after taking care of her father Jamie post his life-threatening colon rupture. Read to know more.
A while back in January, international pop sensation, Britney Spears announced that her father, Jamie Spears is suffering from a life threatening health issue as his colon had ruptured. Post this, Britney had taken a break from work to spend time with her father and also to help him through his recovery phase. Now, after nursing him through his difficult health times, Britney has decided to focus on herself and has got herself checked into a wellness facility to catch up on some ‘me time’.
Yesterday, Britney also posted a photo on Instagram of a quote which read as, “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body, spirit,” and captioned it as, “We all need to take time for a little 'me time'”. Well, it definitely is in sync with the star's actions as a source close to her told People.com that she has checked herself into a facility for ‘all-encompassing wellness treatment’. However, many other sources have been going on and on about the fact that Britney just needed to focus on herself after taking care of her father.
The report by People also stated that her father’s health took a huge toll on Britney. Amidst this, Britney came to the realisation that she also needs to think about her well-being as well. Britney mentioned, “He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her — she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”

Britney has been riding high on her recent successful tour and was gearing up for her return to the Las Vegas tour with her show. But, her father Jamie’s health worsened and hence, Britney decided to step away from work to be with her father as she is pretty close to him.
