Brad Pitt to follow Angelina Jolie's footsteps into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Deets Inside
After Angelina Jolie, a new report suggests Brad Pitt could mark his MCU debut soon. However, the actor is being considered as a Marvel villain.
Martin Scorcese might not be a Marvel fan but that hasn't stopped Hollywood star from flocking to the Marvel Studios office. Earlier this summer, a slew of A-list stars had confirmed to make a debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This includes Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Richard Madden, Moonlight star and Oscar award winner Mahershala Ali, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. Now, a report suggests Angelina's estranged husband Brad Pitt could also make an MCU debut in an upcoming Marvel movie.
If a source of We Got This Covered is to be believed, the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star could join the MCU as a villain and attempt to top Josh Brolin's Thanos. It has been reported that Marvel is eyeing Brad for three possible roles: Annihilus, Kang the Conqueror and Doctor Doom. If Brad and Marvel's deal falls in place, it would be his first MCU movie but not his first superhero teamed movie.
Fans would remember the actor surprised everyone with his hilarious there-but-not-there cameo as the Vanisher in Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. Although we would be thrilled to watch Brad bring a Marvel comic book character to life, the Ad Astra actor previously said he wasn't interested in playing a superhero.
During the promotions of OUATIH, Brad told MTV News, "I think I've taken it as far as I can take it." It is to see if Marvel manages to rope in Brad for a role in the universe. Do you think Brad Pitt would join the MCU? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
