Before there was a Brangelina, there was Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston for whom romance blossomed in 1998. However, just a few years later and an alleged affair between Brad and Angelina Jolie on the sets of Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), the couple got divorced. Initially, the parting of ways was not amicable and the exes kept their distance for many years. Hence, it came as a staunch surprise when the paparazzi caught Brad at Jennifer's 50th birthday bash, which took place recently in Los Angeles.
According to US Weekly, before Brad accepted Jennifer's invitation, he asked her for something. Her forgiveness for all the hurt he had caused her in the past. Brad "wishes he'd handled the end of their marriage in a more thoughtful manner," the source stated to the publication. It seems like the exes have let bygones be bygones and that Jennifer has forgiven her ex-husband, given how he attended her party, which was a star-studded affair. Now, that is indeed a mature move by the once upon a time married couple!

Meanwhile, Brad is currently embroiled in the divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie. Their major bone of contention between the ex-couple is the custody battle of their six children - Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, or ten-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Angelina is said to be in no rush or haste to get the divorce finalised as she wants, what is, the best possible outcome for herself as well as their children.
