EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar took the team of Gold to watch Toilet- Ek Prem Katha in London

Akshay Kumar took the team members of Gold to watch his last outing, Toilet- Ek Prem Katha.

In 2016, Akshay Kumar announced that he will be starring in a film titled Gold directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. The movie revolves around the life and times of Balbir Singh, who was a celebrated hockey player who helped India win three medals in the year 1948, 1952 and 1956 Olympics.

The actor shot for the film in London. Our sources exclusively told us that when he was shooting for the film in London - he took the team members of Gold to watch his last outing, Toilet- Ek Prem Katha. 

Akshay, in an interview, revealed that he is not playing a hockey player in the movie.When asked if the preparation for his role as a hockey player in Gold is different than his other films, Akshay said, "You have the wrong information. I am not playing a hockey player." Upon being quizzed, if not a hockey player, what is he playing, he refused to divulge any details. 

Along with Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh, the movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Television actress Mouni Roy.

Earlier, talking about Mouni's character, a source revealed a leading tabloid, "Mouni will be seen in a completely different avatar to suit the era. She will film for 20-25 days in August and is one of the few female characters in the otherwise male-dominated narrative. She will be shooting extensively with Akshay."
