EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer and Deepika to start shooting for Padmavati from October 1!
Padmavati is reportedly based on the life of Rani Padmini, wife of King Ratansen of Chittor. While the film will have Deepika as Padmavati, Ranveer has been cast in the role of Alauddin Khilji who was obsessed with Padmavati. The film starts shooting in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan’s Mewar. Earlier, there was no confirmation on the date of the shooting schedule.
But, a source close to the film has now confirmed to us that Padmavati will go on floors from October 1, 2016. Padmavati has already been a part of many controversies, but with this confirmation, we can expect that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali might create the same magic as he did with Bajirao Mastani. There have been rumours that Shahid Kapoor might play the role of Deepika's husband Rawal Ratan Singh, in the film, but there is no official announcement on the same.
Well, it'll be interesting to watch Deepika and Ranveer share screen space again in Padmavati!
