EXCLUSIVE: Here's why Amitabh said that Deepika was paid more than him in Piku
For the longest time, there have been talks about Deepika Padukone being the highest paid female actor in Bollywood. But did you know that she was paid more that her co-star Amitabh Bachchan for Piku? In a recent interview, Big B had admitted to this fact and had said that Deepika is paid more than him because of two reasons - one she is important and secondly, his pay scale has gone down.
In an interview with us, the Piku actor revealed the reason of making such a statement. He said, "That's not why I said that. I was asked about that there is inequality about women in the society and I believe that there should be equality and to give an example I said you know Deepika is playing the main protagonist and yes she was paid more than me."
Well, we must say that Amitabh Bachchan surely knows how to be witty!
