Aditya Roy Kapur is here to stay! His past few months have been trying times, owing to the not-so-good box office collections of his last released Daawat-e-ishq. But the actor is optimistic. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Aditya who was in the capital city to promote his recently released Fitoor, spoke about his Valentines Plan, his obsession for food, wacky things people do for him and more....

Ques- You gave a statement that you were quite taken aback when you saw the craze among girls for you? Why weren't you expecting any adulation from the masses?

Aditya: Well what happened with Aashiqui 2 was that when the movie released, you can never expect a film to do as big as it did. It was the first time that I had a solo film that did so well.. So, you can never expect how the audience is going to react and when they did react like that it was a nice surprise. But it took me time. I am still not used to it, I don't know if its something you get used to. But it's a lovely thing to get people's appreciation.

Ques- Since, we have Valentines around the corner and you're so popular among girls so tell me your idea to woo your girl on Valentines.

Aditya: If she's already your girl you would not have to woo her. You can be yourself with her if you're really in love with her. This Valentines, I would get her on the cast and crew success part of Fitoor (laughs). It's an important time for me and it's exciting that the film is coming out on this time. So, Valentines Day this year is not going to be about any girl but just about the film.

Ques- Have you ever fallen for any random girl who is not from the industry and because you're Aditya Roy Kapur, you couldn't express it to her?

Aditya: Sometimes you meet people, there are a lot of fans and sometimes they meet you in a way where they do not want to relate to you in an equal way. I find all these personalities very interesting but me being a famous person is a barrier. I do feel that sometimes. You're right. It does become a barrier. You have to break that so that you can talk to me in this way. But sometimes it takes a while. It's not easy to connect easily. It's true.

Ques- Obession has been your thing in every film so far. Whether it's alcohol or food or love. Which obsession is the closest to the real life Aditya?

Aditya: Actually khaane peene ka obsession unfortunately bohot zyada hai meri life mein (laughs). I think I need to sometimes stop myself from eating for getting into shape. I have a big thing for food. I love eating too much. It's tough for me to stay away from it. That's the obsession I have. In fact I have obsession for many different things and not just one thing.

Here is a quick rapid-fire with you.

- Actress you want to romance on-screen?

There are so many Actresses I would love to romance on screen. I would like to romance Deepika, Alia. I haven't worked with them so far. They are great actors.

- Things nobody knows about you?

That I play very good snooker and pool. I don't think if that's exciting for you but apart from cricket I play great snooker and pool. I made a quite a lot of money in my college days by playing these when i had no pocket money. I used to put a bet and make money (smiles).

-One Old Bollywood film you'd wan to be a part of.

If I had wanted to be a part of something then I would have been a part of it. But to name one I would say Delhi Belly. I love that film.

- One Bollywood dialogue you'd swear by?

I would pick one from Aashiqui 2: Main marne ke liye nahi peeta, peene ke liye marta hoon. That's the only dialogue I could remember right now.

- What is the wackiest thing any fan has ever done for you?

Some girl got a tattoo of me. I heard of it some other day.

- What is the wackiest thing you have ever done for someone?

I don't do that many wacky things (laughs)

- Tips for younger boys who aspire to become next Aditya Roy Kapur.

If you love it then keep working on yourself and be out there, audition and keep getting better at the things that you in your heart knows to improve on. And if you love acting then keep doing it and it will happen.
