WHY KONKONA DECLINED GHAI OFFER?
Konkona Sen Sharma who is otherwise well known for her versatility and professionalism, had declined Ghai's offer to act in his recently released Black & White. She says that she did it from a career point of view. In fact, Subhash Ghai's had apparently offered the role of Anil Kapoor's wife in his movie. Though Konkona agreed initially but eventually backed out. The reason, according to a source very close to her, was that Konkona didn't want to play the role of Anil's wife, claiming she was too young for the part. Besides, she said that since she was currently playing Kunal Kapoor's love interest in some film, she wouldn't like to be paired opposite Anil Kapoor at the same time. She is right but only strategically and not professionally as the latter calls one to accept role without such a consideration. Anyway, this is nobody's loss.
