Dear M's new teaser forecasts the impending heartbreak in Noh Jung Ui and Bae Hyun Sung’s sweet romance

February is the month of love and romance, and we are here for it. Amongst the intense thriller, horror and mystery dramas, it is indeed a welcome change to witness a sweet and fluffy rom-com. KBS 2TV dropped a new teaser for their upcoming rom-com, Dear M and we can safely say, it ain't going to be an easy ride for our 'madly in love' lead couple.

The new teaser starts with Seo Ji Min (Noh Jung Hui), happily describing her relationship with Park Ha Neul (Bae Hyun Sung). According to the translation by Soompi, she chirps in “The moment I first laid eyes on him, I felt it right away. Because to me, my current boyfriend is my real first love.” An unknown voice asks her, “What do you like so much about him?”; to which Seo Ji Min shares, “He seems like someone who wouldn’t talk much, but he says all the things he needs to say, and whenever he goes somewhere, he always contacts me no matter what.”

The next scene shows various montage shots of the couple, walking together and holding hands. Seo Ji Min wonders if people even know just how sweet Park Ha Neul is. In another scene Park Ha Neul even confesses that he is staring at her because she is pretty, making her blush. Seo Ji Min returns the favour by giving him flowers, much to his surprise.

In one of the later scenes, Park Ha Neul bends down to tie Seo Ji Min's shoelaces. She points out that the shoelaces are tied anyways. He responds rather strangely “They look like they might become untied soon."

However, the final scene of the teaser forecasts the impending doom in the couple's paradise. A girl named Choi Sa Ra (Hwang Bo Reum Byeol) catches Park Ha Neul off-guard by offering to sit with him. She asks, “It’s okay for me to sit here, right?” Looks like the impending heartbreak is sooner than we think for Seo Ji Min and Park Ha Neul's picture-perfect romance.

For the uninitiated, Dear M is a spin-off of the popular web drama series, Love Playlist. Dear M is a romance drama, set on the campus of Seoyeon University. A mysterious student M's anonymous mention on the college's forum has caused a stir amongst students.

Dear M also marks the debut of NCT's Jaehyun as the male lead Cha Min Ho; who is an intelligent and imaginative computer-engineering student. Park Hye Soo is roped in to play Ma Joo Ah, a cheerful young business administrator who has never had a boyfriend.
