Chungha releases Demente SPANISH version MV with Puerto Rican rapper Guaynaa

Kim Chung Ha, majorly known as Chungha is one of the most known and popular faces of the K-Pop industry. She released her first full-length album Querencia with an impressive tracklist of 21 songs. She debuted in 2016, in a girl group called I.O.I through the show Produce 101 by ranking fourth on the show overall. However the group disbanded in 2017 and since then, Chungha has been working as a soloist. 

The solo Queen released QUERENCIA on February 15, 2021. The album has received many rounds of applause and positive critics feedback as it manages to smoothly fit in the many different genres and styles of music. After releasing a breathtaking teaser, Chungha dropped the MV of Demente today. Both Chungha and the Spanish rapper, Guaynaa, look incredibly stylish and compliment each other really well. The original Demente in the album has a mix of Korean and Spanish lyrics, however, this MV version is recorded fully in Spanish!

All in all a pop album, QUERENCIA combines different styles such as synth-pop, R&B, korean ballad, EDM, and afrobeat elements. Some of the songs in the tracklist such as Stay Tonight and Play were released earlier in 2020. The tracklist also features some of Chungha’s OSTs from the hit ongoing drama series, Vincenzo. Another international artist she’s collaborated with on the songs is the Moroccon Dutch DJ and record produce, R3hab. The title of the album, QUERENCIA, actually is a metaphysical concept in Spanish which refers to a place where one feels at home, where one is their most true self.
