Last week, on Friday, we witnessed two releases at the box office in Bollywood. While one is a mass entertainer Munna Michael starring Tiger Shroff and Nidhhi Agerwal, the other one is the much-talked about movie Lipstick Under My Burkha starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Plabita Borthakur and Aahana Kumra.

On the day 4, Munna Michael earned INR 3 crore on a Monday which is a major drop from Sunday. In total, the film has earned INR 24.12 crore at the box office. Munna Michael is made on a budget of INR 45 crore. And going by the collection, the film might not be able to break even as on this Friday, Mubarakan will hit the screens.

Earlier, talking about the movie, Tiger spoke about his experience of shooting the film. He told us, "Very challenging, especially the dance sequences as they were intense and were pretty hard on the body but I expect nothing as we are paying a tribute to Michael Jackson."

On the other hand, Lipstick Under My Burkha has impressed the critics with its bold subject. The film starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Ratna Pathak Shah was in the news when CBFC refused to certify the film. The trailer of the film created a buzz all over the news as it was bold and the movie is about four women who are leading four separate battles for their freedom.

The film has maintained a strong hold at the box office. The film, on a Monday, earned INR 1.20 crore making the total to INR 6.50 crore. Considering the film is being made on a tight budget of INR 6 crore including P&A, the film is already into a profit zone.

In an earlier interview, Ratna Pathak was asked what response she thinks that Indian audience will give to the film? Answering this, she said, "My real hope is that men take lots away from the film. Women will identify with it. They will see themselves, their aunts, their family members. Some will be somewhat shocked. Some will say yes, this is true, but do we need to talk about this? I’m expecting that both kinds of responses may come from the general public but all the same, I don’t think there will be any real opposition from women who watch the film. Whoever comes with an open mind will get a lot out of it. Men or women, young or old, doesn’t matter."
