Box Office Report: Final Figures of Dilwale & Bajirao Mastani Day 2 Collections
Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani turned tables on thier Day 2 at the domestic box office. While the former witnessed a slight drop, the latter saw a steady increase. Dilwale had opened to INR 20.85 Crores on its Day 1 at the Indian Box Office. The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer witnessed a slight drop on its Day 2 when the movie made INR 19.50 Crores at the Box Office Window. On the other hand Bajirao Mastani had opened to a humbler collection of INR 12.25 Crores but witnessed a gradual increase making INR 15.52 Crores on its Day 2 at the Box Office.
Dilwale now stands at a two day total of INR 40.85 Crores whereas Bajirao Mastani is at INR 27.77 Crores. Not affected to a large extent by all the screen wars, intolerance controversy and the Peshwa family controversy the movies are doing pretty well. Rave reviews for Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer Bajirao Mastani is surely helping create a positive word of mouth which is resulting in a steady growth in terms of Box Office Collections.
It might be too early to predict but it seems Bajirao Mastani might actually grow further this Sunday. For all those expecting a one sided battle, wake up and smell the coffee. The Box Office war is waging with equal impact on both fronts.
