Apple TV+ gears up to release a brand new Korean sci-fi thriller 'Dr. Brain starring Parasite actor Lee Sun Kyun.

 It was announced today by Apple TV+ that legendary filmmaker Kim Jee Woon, who has directed films like A Tale of Two Sisters and I Saw The Devil will be writing and directing a brand new series based on the widely popular Korean webtoon Dr. Brain which will star Oscar-winning actor Lee Sun Kyun who shot to global commercial and critical fame with his film Parasite, directed by Bong Joon Ho as well as his drama My Mister, alongside IU. With this series order, Apple TV+ aims to expand its sweeping international slate.

Dr. Brain is currently in production in South Korea under Bound Entertainment, along with Kakao Entertainment, Studioplex and Dark Circle Pictures and is set to debut later this year. The narrative follows an emotional journey of a brain scientist whose field of research revolves around accessing the hidden consciousness of the brain. However, his life is turned upside down when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident and he utilizes his research to access his wife's memories to piece together the mystery behind the accident.
